Now back to business:
My name is Caressa Paulin. I am 12 years old.
My family and I live in Sydenham, Victoria Australia. Sydenham is a suburb (town)outside of Melboune.
Melbourne is a big city with more than millions of people in it.... no jokeing!!
It is really big. We have trains, trams (a train like car that rides on rails through the towns and city), and buses.
I like trains. They are fast!!!
I have a brother named Spencer, who is 8 years old. He will write to you all too!!!!!! We live near the ocean and on days off we go to a beach called William’s town beach. Some times we call it Willie!!!!!!!! Some times we go to the city to look around. There are skyscrapers there. Once there was a clown, like Bobo, in the city riding a uni-cycle!!!!!!!!! ha !!!!! He was so funny!!!!
We have a big zoo in Melbourne. There are kangaroos, koalas, wombats, dingos, monkeys, elephants and other animals and even a clown to paint your face and make you laugh!!!!!!!!!! Wow, maybe Bobo can come and make the Aussie kids laugh!!!!!! There is a place called St. Kilda out here. Mom takes Spencer and me there. There is a beach and a carnival there. The carnival is called Luna Park. ----- There is a huge rollercoaster and other rides there. We eat at McDonalds, and play at the beach when there...... Boy, is that fun! Then, we take the train home!!
Once Mum, Spencer and I went to the city. There was a festival going on and we saw a live band play. They were from East Africa. The band played drums and danced. My brother liked this so much. Every one in the crowd was dancing and singing!! My mom’s friend came to Australia last year and we went to Phillip’s Island. We went camping and we went to a koala reserve (that is where the koalas are kept safe). We must have seen one hundred koalas, and we even touched them. On Phillip’s Island, there is a penguin reserve (the penguins come out of the water at night), and we sat on the beach. The penguins actually have a parade. They all swim out and walk one by one up the beach and into their homes in the sand. They are so cute, and thousands of them. They are called fairy penguins because they are only as tall as knee high!!!!!!!!! Wish you could see one!! I will send you a photo!! Okey doke!!!
Once my mum, dad, Spencer and I were bike riding and we saw a kangaroo near the river. He hoped sooo fast. Do you know they can run faster than a car?!!!
Well, I will save some news for next time!!!!!
If you would like to write to Spencer and me, this is our address:
Here are a few photos of our like down under in OZ---
(You remember, that’s short for Australia).
